Back In or Pull In? Choose the Parking Space Before Choosing the Maneuver

Backing into a space, pulling in nose first and choosing a quieter row can all be reasonable preferences in the right setting. What matters is the space you have, the people nearby and how well you understand your vehicle. A parking habit is not a personality test.

Before reversing, walk around the vehicle and check the area, especially for children. Keep looking around as you move slowly; cameras and warning sounds cannot replace that observation. Follow the site's signs and local rules, and stop if you cannot establish that the path is clear. Use the following question while parked, never during a maneuver.

How do you usually park?

Choose your usual approach while safely parked. Explore a practical consideration; your choice does not rate driving skill or personality.
