Your cat gets up when you leave the sofa, follows you to the kitchen, then settles somewhere nearby. On another day, the same cat barely lifts their head. These moments can be useful clues about a routine, but they cannot tell you who a cat loves most or assign your relationship a score.

Look at the whole pattern, including eating, play, rest, and recent changes at home. If following becomes suddenly intense, or your cat withdraws and seems unwell, contact your veterinarian. New behavior can have a health-related cause; a new toy or climbing tower should not delay checking a concerning change.
